The Northville Volunteer Fire Department is a proud organization that has been serving the people of New Milford, CT for over forty-five years, providing fire and rescue services to over 7500 living in an area of nearly twenty-five square miles. With six apparatus, a strong volunteer force of over 40 firefighters, and a Junior program providing an outlet for young people to be involved in the fire service, this department has mantained a level of training and dedication to serve the people of the community. Feauturing a Rescue truck with a full complement of equipment, two tankers holding 3000 gallons of water each, two engines with full suppresion capabilities, and a brush truck, Northville Vol. Fire Dept. can handle a wide range of calls. Every year, Northville is called for motor vehicle accidents, structure fires, gas leaks, and many other types of emergencies. Nearly all personnel are Firefighter I and II certified, as well as many having EMS certifications. With this level of training, Northville Vol. Fire Dept. provides a competent and professional level of service for those in need. The membership is constantly training, always striving to educate ourselves to better serve the community.
